Pope Benedict XVI

In reports today, the Associated Press (and I'm sure others) are referring to the new pope, Benedict XVI, the former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany, as "the Roman Catholic Church's leading hard-liner." Praise God for that. I may differ on . . . doctrine with the Roman Catholic Church, but I'm glad to see that the church will be continuing in the conservative tradition of Pope John Paul II.

I am a Roman Catholic who prays that our new Pontiff, Pope Benedict XVI removes those who say they are Catholic - especially those in politics, and approve of abortion on demand, homosexuality, euthanasia and other anti-Catholic teachings. Abortion, plain and simple is murder and any elected official who says they are Catholic - such as Rudy Guiliani or Arnold Swarzenegger or Ted Kennedy or Nancy Pelosi or any of those other radicals and says that abortion should remain legal should be excommunicated from the Church immediately. That goes for those who believe contraception is OK too. If only they were educated on natural law. And Holy Scripture.
